Hi guys..I got a letter of Yorkshire bank saying I was entitled to £16000 ppi compensation..I rang to confirm on the 21 September...and was told 14 days for the cheque to arrive .
After waiting patiently I just called today (6th October)..to be told it had been referred and I may not get anything...after a rant I was told it was referred on 24 September...but I was never informed...I just don’t know who to speak to about it as they were no help on phone

You don't need to speak to anyone. You need to wait for them to check the figures.
They'll let you know the outcome.1 -

That is not uncommon with payouts above a certain amount. It will be to make sure the person checking has not made a mistake.
..after a rant I was told it was referred on 24 September...but I was never informedWhy should you be told or informed? They haven't written to you with the outcome yet. You phoned and got the position on a given day but that is not the final decision.
