Where and when to send probate forms?

Hi I think I'm over complicating things in my head but thought I would ask on here before I do anything, I posted the iht400, iht421 and other schedules off yesterday, and have had mixed advice on when I should send the probate form, is it straight away or in two weeks? Also does it matter what probate office I send it to? I have no idea where the iht421 will be sent to so have no idea which probate registry to send the Will and forms to, sorry if none of what I've written makes sense, and thank you in advance for any help

You can complete the Probate application online or you can download a form and complete a paper copy which has instructions as to where to post it. I sent off my IHT form about a week before the Probate one, using "signed for" postage. I have heard nothing from HMRC as yet (but there shouldn't be any IHT to pay) but got an email yesterday to say Probate had been granted (exactly 2 weeks after receipt) and that I should expect the Grant within 10 days.
So if you are using paper forms, probably could send them both at the same time ifor you wished.
Good luck and hope your Grant is approved as quickly as mine was!1 -
Thank you for your reply, that was really fast, there shouldn't be any inheritance tax to pay for us either, think I will get it in the post first thing tomorrow then, I sent the iht400 tracked and signed for and they have received it, fingers crossed ours is as fast as yours was!nanapop1977 said:You can complete the Probate application online or you can download a form and complete a paper copy which has instructions as to where to post it.
