Can you buy a simple Fitness Tracker? Don't need bluetooth or an app, just one that shows steps etc?

Been looking and they all seem to have bluetooth and you have to download an app??0

So what do you actually want? Just something that can show steps, like a standard pedometer? Or do you want something that syncs to an account and saves your steps for future reference (if so, most will require Bluetooth or an app, why do you not want something that is Bluetooth and has an app?)1

Yeah a standard pedometer (wrist type)0

You don't have to use the Bluetooth or an app even if it's so equipped.
You could always get something like a second hand Fitbit Charge 2 and then you've got the option to use the app or not.1 -
Its for someone who hasn't a smartphone so it would probably need paired?? Just looking a basic one....chrisw said:You don't have to use the Bluetooth or an app even if it's so equipped.

It only needs paired IF you want to use the app ... the watch/pedometer should still function without being paired?1

Ok I thought it would need paired etc for it to work and reset every day ie the steps to go back to ' zero 'Hi_Fidelity said:It only needs paired IF you want to use the app ... the watch/pedometer should still function without being paired?0 -
I cannot speak for any of the other trackers, but the fitbit can be used without being paired. you will obviously lose most of the functionality (such as sleep tracking , storing of the steps etc), but the steps can still be seen on the device and will reset back to 0 each day. You will not be able to view the previous days steps without the app.joe565 said:

There are plenty on eBay that don't have any pairing function if you search for pedometer and look at the cheapest ones.0
