MSE "deals" are for every one - note MSE deals are not always the best.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

Make sure you register with the existing supplier the moment you take possession or it will all end in tears !Make sure you also compare using Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'. The CEC does not compare all suppliers. Separate suppliers are likely to be cheaper than dual fuel.1

Moving home is switching, or should be. When you occupy you are in a deemed contract with the existing supplier from day one. Once you register with them you can start a switch. Until you do so, you will be on the default Standard (expensive) tariff.
You cannot take your existing account with you, if that's what you are thinking. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
