Adobe Flash Player?

When I switch my PC on I keep getting a dialogue box asking me to download 'Adobe Flash Player' as I'm not too tech savvy I just close it, but how do I know I can trust this app? Should I download it?

You should not download it.  It will soon be unsupported and nothing useful should use it by now as its death was announced years ago.  It is riddled with security issues which is why Adobe is killing it.

Instead find out what is causing the message to appear as that shouldn't happen.

If it happens everytime you start the computer you should be investigating what programs start when you start the computer.
