Mic on MacBook Pro not working with Skype for Business

Hi
I am working from home at the minute and have to attend a number of online meeting. My work provided me with a MacBook Pro. When I am on an online Skype for Business meeting I can hear the other people present at the meeting but they cannot hear me. I am not on mute. I can type messages but no one can hear me. When I am on an online Microsoft Teams meeting I can hear everyone and they can hear me. I have looked at all the settings and everything seems as it should be but obviously I am doing something wrong.
Any help appreciated.

Check the settings on your Skype App to make sure that the microphone that Skype is using is the internal mic on the ipad and that it is not looking for an external mike that is not fitted.1
