Excellent news. I tried Starling and its exclusively app-based banking was one of the things I couldn't live with.

Thanks for the heads up, @The_Green_Hornet.

I fell at the first hurdle when trying it in Chrome on my laptop. Would you know what the problem might be? My account number is definitely correct, as is my phone number. I tried the phone number with and without the leading zero, same result both times. My Chrome is vanilla, no blockers, no extensions. 


Using the same credentials, I did manage to log in in Chrome on my iPhone, which presented me with an absolutely bewildering array of options but nothing that appears better than the app.

Worked a treat first time, but you still need the mobile app to authorise the log in so it's not independent of the app.

I had the same @colsten so contacted CS in app and they sorted it in a few hours.

Appears a number of people have randomly had validation request issues.

just tried this and it works great. It is just what Starling needed. I switched to Starling a year ago from Natwest. I was a bit nervous switching from Natwest whom I have been with for over 20 years but I am glad I decided to. I feel lots more in control of my finances now than I did with Natwest. I would highly recommend Starling The app is so much better than Natwest, support has always been great, and now they have access to banking from a website
Other points I like about Starling are:
Saving jar - save the change (this quickly adds up)
Euro account
Payment notifications via the app including alerts when you need to transfer in funds if you have future payments and your balance is too low.
