    Hi

With that sort of money and flats, flog the lot, buy your house in Norfolk, and NZ, live off the rest of the money and give up work.
Who are you planning on leaving it all to in your WILL?
Make sure your WILL is up to date once you inherit, sorry for your loss.

  • Wow, a really big thank you to all who posted, really appreciate the time and sentiments, my motivation in life took a real tumble after my brother's suicide, so wasn't sure how people would react to the financial side of things, it sounds like I'm boasting but I feel like I've won the worst lottery jackpot in life. My dad will need a lot of care and he's only 86 so I'm mindful the money may well be needed to help him out though he does have his own property and pension as well.
I have been thinking about the potential of a wealth tax too, I tend to worry about everything! As I don't have family myself there are a few people who I'd potentially like to help out when I'm not around, I think these days everyone needs as much help as possible, though I take people's point to live my life (travelling has been a passion though somewhat curtailed atm), something I'm not very good at especially with work being crazily busy with or without Covid thrown in. Anyway, all points taken onboard, thanks again for you support.
  • Can't add much to help you with your decisions with the money/inheritance but wish you all the best going forward. Deep condolences in losing him in an awful way.  I would only add that I hope you have much support with your own grief as it can be too easy to get into a deep depression during the grief process 💚
Just my opinion, no offence 🐈
