esurv scheduled valuation for a month away!

After Nationwide deliberated over our mortgage application for 7 weeks before declining it, we've jumped ship to Halifax - however, their valuation company esurv have come back with a month to wait before the property we're looking to purchase is valued! Any ideas as to how this might be sped up?! Thanks!

Must depend on the area, we’ve just had an offer from Halifax, the application went in on Friday and the surveyor was booked the same day for the Tuesday.
