Parking Ticket and Court Costs (do I avoid DRP letters or pay up)

Do you have any electronic confirmation on your JustPark app? Can you get any help from your bank or debit/credit card? You must have paid somehow.olivery14 said:@castle I paid via an app called Just Park so do not have a paper copy and they keep records.
From the above responses it looks like even If I am in the wrong I should still fight this.
I could have very easily forgotten to extend my parking via the app (Just Park) but did definitely pay for the day and probably missed out on extending. I guess I need to contact Just Park and find out. If I am in the wrong I still refuse to pay based on the charge being extortionate and them likely not taking me to court yes?
So as explained a million times by people (sorry as I know people will say this) I ignore the DRP letters and wait for court letters (even if I am in the wrong)0 -
Thanks for helping everyone, will wait up for court letters and update you if they arrive, will not update if I get any more DRP or debt collector letters only if they are court papers as to not waste peoples time.
@1505grandad The car parking company is UK Car Park Management LTD2 -
Would have to contact Just Park directly to find out what times I made the extensions to the parking booking0

To me that looks like you are covered from 15.00 to 18.30 on 23 July.2

In the extremely unlikely event of a court case, I would imagine a Judge finding that pretty convincing. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would keep those DRP letters. I have a copy of their web page (no longer available) which states that they operate on a no collection no fee basis so £60.00 is unlikely to have been paid out to DRP. I could PM you a copy if you like. You could always demand to see the invoice to DRP and see what they come up with (when the time comes).

Yes, given the fake claims are approved by the dodgy legals, they should be able to show a court the transaction between the PPC and debt collector.Snakes_Belly said:I would keep those DRP letters. If the legals cannot prove this, their claim is a fake and could well be looked at as a fraudulent attempt to extort money.
If no proof can be offered, there is always the anonymous hotline to HMRC1 -
@Snakes_Belly that would be helpful thanks and this also helps clarify.
So because DRP are a “no collection no fee” it means they charge £60 and pay that parking company £100 (hence £160)
so yours and beamerguys argument is they haven’t paid DRP £60 to chase this fine so £160 charge makes no sense? It’s just a way for them to easily make £60 by sending threatening letters.
Will keep you posted and if it comes down to it will send you my details as that website info could be helpful.
