Windows 10 20H2

I have Win10 pro 2004 version. Is 20H2 better when released? If not, then how can I avoid installing it?
Any other things I should be aware of?
Thanks

Much better if you ask me. But really it's an OS!, nothing they can do will make much difference to people will it? (I have been running it for a couple of months). Best bit is it removes some pointless crap.

Only thing I would say is have a search around for people with your machine and if they have had any issues. (especially if you hardware is old).

There always will people coming on here slagging it off, I have been running insider previews for ages on old kit (fairly old i5-24xx) no problems thus far.

    All that's new in 20H2:
Mostly cosmetic with new Edge thrown in, and won't take all day to install either, although I can see certain posters coming along saying they've installed this, they have a computer that sings, dances and does the dishes, and it took four hours to install something it took everybody else two minutes.

To be fair there are people around here who would consider that new, I was aiming it at anyone with hardware others may describe as fit for the bin ;-)

  • Just sharing a bit of information following windows "Other" update installed today (KB4577063).
This is an optional update I believe prior to October patch Tuesday but part of the process I would imagine to take us up to 20H2.
This has taken my Build up to 19041.546 (Windows 10 Pro).
The update took absolutely ages and hung for circa 1 hour on 74%. I was minded to cancell the install, but decided to turn off the controlled access folder feature, and having done this, not long after the install completed.
Others have reported the same issue.
As I say, just for information.
