Has anyone ever got a refund from Brantano?

Hi, I feel I'm in an email battle with Brantano after buying two pairs of trainers. Neither fit but the issue I have is that the description on the website is for 'lace ups' and the trainers are actually slips on. Although they do have laces they are more decorative and as they are a slip on I cannot get my foot into them like I could with a proper lace up with a tongue in the shoe. Every time I contact customer support they tell me I can return them but I have to pay postage and when I point out the reason I need to return them is because they are not as advertised they ask for photos, and then after I sent them clearer photos (the first lot were pretty clear to me) and time is running out because they say return has to be within 14 days of placing the order (not of receipt of the products) and as I'm beginning to doubt that even if I do pay for the return postage then I'm not feeling confident they will refund the order value. I am considering for my sanity and to avoid losing any more money I might keep them and sell them on ebay to someone who has a narrow foot and likes slip on trainers. I would feel encouraged if anyone has managed to obtain a refund from this company.

It doesn't look like anyone has. I posted the trainers back over a week ago on 48 hrs delivery. I should just have given the trainers to a charity shop and not back to Brantano

They have 14 days from receipt of the goods (or proof of return if provided earlier) to refund.
If the refund isn't forthcoming and you paid by card, try a chargeback for credit not received. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride1 -
Thanks unholyangel. That means they have a few more days, I used tracked delivery so I have proof of when they received them back. Customer services said that they have a high workload and they'll chase it up, but I doubt they can as my return will be in a warehouse with all the others.0
