I went to university and even though it was an incredible experience, through working after university I have learnt far more life skills and knowledge through doing this. Therefore my advice would be depending on what you want to study I would look at your options outside of university first and see how you can benefit from working your way up through certain jobs.
Life isn't just jobs and career - personally I really enjoyed my time at university, got to try and do all sorts of things as well as my (rigorous and well respected) degree.
