Stopping Google Calendar notifications showing up before log-in

My wife and I each use our Win 10 laptop, with separate log-ins (although without passwords). We tend to leave the laptop in standby. I use a Google calendar, with notifications (reminders) set in various dates (e.g.renew car tax). I've notced that when either of us presses the power button momentarily to wake up the PC from standby, you get a nice picture and also at the bottom left had side, it shows my current notifications. The trouble is, my wife sees these and I don't want her to see them. Actually I don't want either of us to see them at this stage.
Does anyone know how to stop notifications showing in the 'pre-login' screen?

Edit: yes, that worked. Although I had to shut down/start to get it to activate.
