Can I get credit if I have a IVA?

Why would you want to?0

I imagine it would depend on the terms of your IVA. Mine (started in 2014) had a clause prohibiting me from taking more than £500 of credit at any time. In the final year, I did get a Vanquis credit card with a £500 limit. So the answer is yes you probably can - but whether or not you should is a whole different question.

No you cannot, nor should you.TraceyJayne49 said:Can I get credit if I have a IVA?
Hope this helps.0 -
It depends on what the credit is for - I had a car on HP when starting IVA and was allowed to keep it. When car went back my IP allowed me to take credit out for a second hand car (3 years old) as without a car I would lose my job.0
