Sorry...A goth box is a sitooterie .We called it the goth box because we painted it black and the fabric was black..It faded over four years though so it was more grey box than goth box at the end
When the first lockdown happened I knew there'd be another one [ or three!] so over OHd protestations, I told him we were building it. It wasn't pretty, but it did the job.
Maybe Mrs Dusty would like an electric scooter? very pretty church decorations..I'd just burst into flames if I went in there though so I'll view from afarAnd she may not smile YBE, but I would have..Sorry Arb, can't help with the potatoes either...Got a few things to do in todays drizzly weather, mostly just putting out the bits and pieces what's left. Then it's pretty muc maintenance garden for a while - I refuse, refuse I tell you! to buy any more plants before the building work is done..honest guv...maybe...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi4 -
Lovely photos which make me think of summer - I need remindingGot the last bramble out of the badger run yesterday and managed a couple of Elder tree branches without damaging anything else. And some dead heading, clearing up sort of thing. Now the back/leg/hip whichever it is is making me lay up........that's all right because it's raining. It's cold and wet is all I can say. Perhaps better than cold and dark. It's supposed to continue most of the weekSo any happy, cheery photos welcome because I'm running out of positivity here!I did pass a new Sitoorie yesterday on my trip out. I've always liked the space but it's always looked manky.New owners - and it looks gorgeous, as I stopped to admire the lady came up behind me with her dog and I was able to tell her how lovely and I'd go and photograph it.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

Away over the weekend - lovely pics, etc, all; plus I think embuggerance is definitely the next trending word !On blight, doesn't look like it on your tatties Arb, and, YBE, I wouldn't immediately bin a tom with signs of blight - just cut off the offending leaves, and it may not spread to the rest of the plant/other plants especially if weather conditions change...3

YoungBlueEyes said:Thanks Apodemus. They're outside (I don't have a greenhouse) so I don't know where the spores came from. I slung them in the bin as soon as I spotted it and the rest are fine, thankfully.8

Me too
Lovely church pics, Dusty. I can beat you on the hospital trip - it was 100 miles and over two hours to the one I had to go to last year and the appointment itself lasted about 10 minutes.
Boot Hill looks great, Farway. Good that DS and DDIL are happy with it too.
I've given my two indoor tomatoes a severe haircut - I seem to remember someone mentioning doing that last year and I think I did it too, with no ill effects?? Weird that one plant has loads of flowers and fruits forming, but the other one has loads of flowers, but only one fruit. Lovely neighbour, who gifted me mine, said that his plants (in a greenhouse) got badly affected by the drop in temperature a while back - I've told him I'll give him some of my/his tomatoes when they're ready
We're still battling with ivy here, but it's a bit more under control now. Twelve bags of it have gone to the communal garden waste area.
Embuggerance
We've had some lovely weather over the last few days. It's a bit cloudy today, but still warm with sunny spells.'A watched potato will never chit'...4 -

What could you do in a Goth box that we non Goths couldn't do? Mrs Dusty and I weren't too enamoured with all the nonsense, so we went along with the "3 weeks to flatten the economy," and then we just got on with life....as much as we could, that is.

Boot Hill is a winner, Farway, but it might need re-naming now. There was a place in the city where we once lived called 'Daisy Bank,' That would fit.

At least the trip wasn't affected by Glasto, which is a major ache in the derrière for locals and anyone trying to get around that area at the end of June.Rain may be lifting here, and at least there's no watering to do."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." That’s a lovely sitoouterie Dusty I like how they’ve done the patio.
Arb I’m always up for a bit of salmon , sounds good with home grown new pots .
It was a lovely morning sunny and warm at 6.30 am , finished work at 4.30 and grey and wet though still warm.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.4
