Much like beautiful birdsong that you don't hear for car engines.
See how much the world has for us to marvel at that we just walk past in favour of staring stareing at a light box for hours.
Not that I'll be going out to observe, 6c here, wet with a brisk easterly wind.
Perhaps it's a day to look at amazing things on a screen
We are currently on 8 degrees with light rain so Im hoping the water butt might get a little dribble of a top up and things I planted out yesterday will get a bit of a watering.

Offer ends 7AM Sunday 28th April and is only valid online. Code SEED24I'll be MIA tomorrow, over to DS AM, youngest DGD is fourteen next week
, May Day quite appropriately. I'll be doing a spot of planting, in DS grotty neglected front garden.
I'm going to put in a Siberian Sage and an Achillea, both AFAIK are drought & bombproof
The devil sent me those offers too Farway, as well as one for plugs and veggie plugs so I think it must of heard me talking and saying I think I needed more flowers. Thankfully the bank account is not playing ball this week! I have been led astray by them several times before though!
@ArbitraryRandom
I tried looking up the same thing because I had half a bag of EC left over from blueberry bush planting and was going to use it to start things but Im sure I got a mixed response and was told that it can potentially burn potato plants or make them more prone to potato scab. Im sure I read though that Kale likes slightly acidic soil.Time to find me again5 -
I must listen to ATs show. I've been going for it help just to find out how to download apps( and they've donated me 2 tablets that I didn't want and don't work) just to learn bird song and see stars.
So far I'm no further on.
Reluctant to buy phone just for this and if I'd done some study the old way I'd probably know it by now.
I had to chuckle the other day when a friend spent 5min doing the flower thing on her phone.
While she was playing with it I told her what the plant was......nothing like smugness
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

They're Mrs Dusty's.Feast your eyes on what's not there. Even the larger one to the side has been thoroughly nibbledCold and damp today, herb seeds to sow though...I'm stepping away from your codes Farway!I grew up with a mountain at the end of the road, a country park along the old railway line and Ystradfellte and Pont Neath Vaughn about 15 mintues away, and the Beacons. I was spoiled for countryside choice, but it was the running around and scattering dock seeds that was fun, as well as the yearly outing to cook some jackets on a fire, or breakfast by a waterfall...I could just about make a twenty mintue walk now as long as it's not uphill so all the delights are no longer delightful. Now I've poured all that into gardening. And potentially learning al the stuff I didn't learn then, like names of plantsNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi7

Oh and if anyone knows the name of the plant to the right of red circle, I'd be obliged..another one I forgot to label

Though I would like a good birdsong app, if anyone knows of one...Thanks Farway for the wee link - I have been adding mine direct to my compost heaps when the need has come upon me in their vicinity (and where I feel I'm safe from any overlooking eyes) - a tip passed on by my dad (who would be c. 95 now if still alive); but will have to improve my aim and try for the watering can next time...7 -

Lots of rushing streams and Dan-Yr-Ogof caves not far. We kidded the children the stalagmites in there were the farmer's carrots seen from below!
They knew it was rubbish, but appreciated the thought. On the subject of walking, my DD2 and I are still supposed to be walking right around Talybont Reservoir. I don't think I'll make it.
Did a couple of miles in my wellies this morning, and that's why I'm sitting down now!
Wee on the compost heap sometimes occurs here, but the top of the Dalek is impossibly high!Owning chickens, it's a good thing to do everywhere on your plot, as it may deter foxes to some extent.
As for dried urine being “worth its weight in gold,” that's unlikely, as gold's trading @ £1870 per ounce this afternoon!
Finally, on the subject of birdsong, walking friend & I are still trying to determine which Corvid in our area makes the sound of an old phone. Others in this area have reported similar experiences, but there's no clear ID."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." Dr Chris Martenson. Peak Prosperity5 -

There are positive signs of my Lakemont grape getting ready to flower, all primed and ready, just no flower bunches yet. Could this year be the year I get to eat a Lakemont grape? Everything crossed please!Anything on your one Dusty?I've had it since 2018 and never had a grapeChecked over the possible baby bath pond spot, looks ideal, there's some ivy I need to clear first, and there's already self spawned ferns there, here's one with a dandelion clock taken this afternoonEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens7
