Happy Birthday Farway
Congratulations on your first rose, twopenny.
We don't get Bluebells here until May. Lovely white one - well spotted, Dusty.
It's very calm out there this morning after yesterday's whirly line snapping winds. Serves me right for hanging a heavy duvet cover out during Storm Kathleen...'A watched potato will never chit'...5 -

Well it's slow going so far but they haven't died...'A watched potato will never chit'...5

Ooh a Whitebell, they're attractive Dusty, very delicate and elegant. They look like they'd smell sweetly
I hope your duvet cover didn't blow away ppDead moss hedgehog
Should be about time for them to wake up now I reckon (if they haven't already).
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -
Pear - it’s done a lot of it’s growing these last few daysSka + ladybird‘Cherry’ -
What was the other suggestion for it? Elderflower? Is it that do you think?I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -
Thanks for the birthday wishes, folks, even the sun is peeking out, and best pressie so far, my back is much easier this morning.DS got the shed open
, yay, and lugged the compost through for me :)Now if only I could find my trowel, it's gone walkabout again
Some great apple tree pics on here now, going to be a good year hopefullyTaff, later once it flowers, I'll post pic of my apple, freestanding and espaliered, donkey years old but a real asset to the garden now.Honesty, Taff, easy but it is a biannual, like wallflowers, sow now flower next yearI have one to add, my new, taxpayer subsidised, Sunset apple tree, planted in Feb has blossom buds. I'll let it flower and maybe leave a couple of apples on to taste test.
YBE, pear, my pear as I've said took ten years, and i think this year I may have it nearly as I want it, wrong variety, grrr, but right shape. If back holds up hoping to sow seeds todayHere is the one, not yet dead from loneliness, tulip. I had about ten many years ago, and slowly they have headed NorthEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens7 -

I couldn't get down and dirty in someone else's place to smell it, Bluey....and if I did, there's some doubt about my ability to get up again at present!I'm not sure all our hedgehogs went to bed this winter. We've been finding their 'presents' for months!Still calm, despite the Yellow Wind warning, and they've pushed rain back to 11.00 now. I let the hens out wearing no more than my PJs this morning; first time without a fleece this year. Apparently we 'might' see a brief partial eclipse as the sun sets tonight, but cloud is on the menu at present. Not too bothered. Still have the video we did of the full thing back in....whenever it was.

Happy birthday Farway! hope you get exactly what you want - be that lots of gifts and time with friends/family, or a quiet day pottering
I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.6 -
....
And here's a wild cherry I shot on Saturday, but which is it? I thought 'wild' would do!
Not to be confused with:
Sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) – wild cherry fruits are on longer stalks; bird cherry (Prunus padus); and cherry plum (Prunus cerasifera).
Anyway, yours is definitely a 'cherry,' Bluey.

My leaves look like the ones in your pic Arb, they're bigger than the ones in Dusty's pic. The description kinda fits, I don't see 2 red glands at the base of the leaf but the bark has lenticels. The leaves are in clusters. I downloaded the app and it's given me 3 options - Chestnut, sweet or Willow, crack, or Willow, white. Hmmm
Here's a pic of the bark and a cluster -
There's ants laying eggs on the underside of the leaves tooIf that's a help.
I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6
