Jeez Dusty, you’re not fit to be let out! You’re not badly strained I hope? Maybe it was your punishment for entering Narnia…

Im envious of your toms Farway, I don’t know if I’ve a yellow one left after all the no labelling and giving away I did, but I hope so :)

Mucky mauve, that’d just be my luck  :#

Gorse, I think your weeds are Hawks-Beard (Crepsis capillaris)  and an old favourite of this thread, Purple Toadflax  (Linaria purpurea)
As we've had the latter in its purple form before, I'll supply it in pink this time. This is the garden variety 'Canon Went.'

As for new weeds here, we have a different form of dock, with smaller, more numerous leaves. It's popped-up to become common in the last couple of years, so it's in the hedgerows as well as our fields. I saw it yesterday on the big hill many miles away, so it suddenly seems endemic.  :| Must be down to climate change.

Oh Dusty, I just watched that before you posted. I've been a fan of Mahya since the referendum of 2016! For a Persian he's pretty cool.

Thanks for the quick identification of the plants. The Canon Went looks splendid and tall?

I think Mayar would say he's a Brit now. He came here as a youngster when his mother fell out of favour with the regime in his home nation.
'Canon Went' is very variable size-wise, according to local conditions. I've had a few at a metre, but most are only half that.

If that's mucky mauve Farway I'll be very happy with that, it's such a pretty colour  And I'm full of pond envy Gorse

That was some video Dusty, I've not seen him before but he seemed to talk a bit of sense. One thing I don't like is this new (?) BBC Verify thing. Well aren't they verifying everything? It makes it sound like anything on their normal programs is a bit hit and miss :grimace: Anyway that's enough proper talking, my brain's fried from the last 2 hours trying to sort car and home insurance. We've been in this house a year nearly :o  It's up in the air again whether we're for stopping... viewings have long dried up next door and no offers. They haven't reduced the price but I don't know if they will cos surely they would have done it by now if they were going to :'(

Didn't stop me raiding the reduced shelf of B+Q yesterday. We went in for string and some clip things to hold up saggy plants. Came out with a couple of roses for the pretty colours, 2 wee fuschias called snowcap - we were watching a thing about Japan the other night so that seemed like a good omen, a big bag of compost, some Roseclear, a load of seeds - one is a packet of diddy yellow toms called peardrop for that's the shape they are :) , and 2 more pairs of work trousers for himself, and a big box of bfb. Buy shares in B+Q people. Then out to Morries for a couple of bits and lifted 3 snapdragons (only £2.50 each :) and a wee thing called Irish Silk cos the leaves are so tactile. They feel a bit like lambs ears but less fleshy.

OT still nothing of note in the dawn/sunset department. We had a properly sharp shower come over before 6 and it's drizzled since then but it's brightening up now. Showers on and off today so if I get my timings right I'll get my new plants in and mother nature can water them in

Being pro-Arab I gasped and clutched my pearls in mock horror when I read that :l:lol:

Which reminds me - I never got that yootoob vid thing sorted. I bribed a 9 year old to do it for me, and she was about to when Harry Styles said something on toktik and suddenly I didn't exist any more.
