Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Farway will probably still be sleeping. It's the second day after missed sleep that gets you.
Wasn't able to do gardening yesterday so glorious spring tan to be started, tea cake and a book and thinking what I would do to the garden if I had a magic wand.
This morning more warm spring sun and squeezed myself onto a seat overgrown by a lavender cutting gone mad and had breakfast outside in the sun to the song of blackbirds.thats what you make a garden forToo late to move now so some severe cutting back later.
Seems the lavenders have liked the horrible weather and gone mad. So much for sand and dry to make them flourish.
Weeding today I believe.seems they are 2ft high so no problem finding them.
Going to try not to slip up given the conversation. Haven't got the time!
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

No your link isn't what I had Dusty. I have those in my hanging basket by the front door, pretty and colourful
Aye watch yourself 2P, unless you live near Farway then go for it ha haa!
Sitting reading in the warm sun, with blacky's talking to each other sounds like pure heaven to me
Still no sign of Mrs Blacky.... reckon she's a gonerI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -
Back in the land of the living, but as 2P points out, it's the second day and I feel worn out despite kipping. Sounds like "My A & E" is one of the better ones then, TBH I've never had any problems with NHS when ever I've used the service, despite tales of woe abounding, maybe I'm lucky or have low expectations to start with?Blue, I think you may mean Love in Mist "Persian Jewels"? I grew them in the volunteer border years ago, pre Covid, and still they pop back from self sown seeds, I do give hand by sprinkling the dried "spider" seed pods around when I see them, ideal plant IMO, carefree & looks niceSun has come out and promise of a nice day, so hoping to get some toms planted into outside pots after lunch, have to de weed the pots first thoughTime and back permitting I'll also plant up my Balcony yellow toms into wall baskets in the conservatory, very tempted to poke in one of the young pants I grew from the small oval cherry toms from the Supermarket. The plants look small, so maybe they are "patio" window sill type? The something wasabi from donated seed was very tasty, I'll see about letting one or two go to seed for next year's cropI noticed apple tree suckers coming up near my old tree, I'll have to chop them back. I do know I should remove back to root etc, but no chance with my back, so I do what is possible these days, no point worrying about what can't be changedEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

I'm sure I have some of those somewhere, but with my state of disorganisation this year, I've missed them. I do have a long tub of salad cut & come again ready, which I'll dive into at lunchtime.
Now semi-sunny here and just right for sorting out my toms. Strangely, I received a supply of Balcony Yellow from the east, and they're growing away nicely too!The fastest grower, with flowers already present, is Moskvich. I can't imagine where they come from, but I trust not too invasive....

Just popped on to say - beautiful garden or beautiful fingernails, pick one
Yep Persian Jewels, thems the very ones Farway. Mine looked just like your link too, all kinds of colours
Your slipping down the ranks Dusty! First crabapple=hawthorn, now Persian Jewels=dianthus… you need to take more water with it ha haa 😉I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -
Here is said crabapple. Alive with buzzings and reeking of cat wee

The afternoon turned sunny & warm, and I have planted out six varieties of tomatoes, including a small sweet one grown from a West Country seed giftBlue, I love hawthorn, not the cat wee part though
, I think you can make jam / jelly from berries but having looked it up seems like a lot of hassle and berries best left for the birds IMO
I checked on yesterday's RB planting, slugs have found them already, one has lost its top. Someone has sprinkled blue items around them, let's hope the Pellet Police are too busy dancing on Tik TokEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4 -

The blue lights and hammering at the door had half the occupants of the house leaping the garden fence into the back alley. However, the guys in blue had only come to warn us the corner shop was on fire, and we might need to evacuate. House or bowels wasn't made clear, but anyway, it killed the atmosphere!OT It's clouded-up here and I've had my siesta, so no excuse not to carry on weeding."Everything's just f.....ine!"3 -
Hope the patients are doing okay today.
My cress has gone mad, Farway. I hope I still like it when it’s ready to go in my sandwiches. It’s supposed to be good for you anyway, so I’ll force it down.
I got woken up by a cuckoo cuckooing this morning 😳 then another one joined in. Never heard one here before, never mind two.
We also had two baby/juvenile robins in the garden yesterday and today ❤️ they’re so sweet. Both being fed by one parent.
Rain this morning and sun this afternoon - there was a cool breeze though so still felt a bit chilly.
