You might have to put up with the flying rats pigeons!
Nah, her pterodactyls will eat those!Lots of sparrows here, but their numbers fell in the city, when we lived there.Seeing 2p's excellent dragonfly, reminded me I snapped a damselfly by the river on Saturday, wings very neatly folded.

All I saw on twopenny's pic was the word BOOB
I know it doesn't really say that, but that's what it looked like to me.
Lovely Fuchsia pics, Farway, they've done really well.
That damselfly is lovely, Dusty.
Ahh, Whitby whalebones, I do miss them.
I don't miss white dog poo though - I'm sure I saw some fairly recently.
Heavy rain here and so chilly last night I thought about putting the fire on. I didn't though, I just made sure the pussycat sat on my lap to keep me warm...'A watched potato will never chit'...7 -

I have had a super productive weekend. I dropped off four bags of tiles for YBE with more still to drop off.....I'm simply glad they've got a second life.
I put a "wanted" post on Freecycl3 for a greenhouse and a lady across the river has replied! I'm going to see it tomorrow after work - she said it doesn't have glass in the windows - it has Perspex - does anyone know if I can replace with glass?? Just thinking things through but I am so excited at the prospect of having a GH. It means I've got to then Freecycl3 the metal shed that's sitting where my GH should be but that's something I will worry about later in the week
I was filling up my bird feeding stations and found this little beauty on Saturday!
Those
You'll have to ignore the raggy hosta - the tiles will find their way to YBE's house soon.
In Hedgehog News.... I think I have at least four who visit my feeding stations!! So in addition to Fatty Muldoon from last week. my dog started snuffling behind my gabion seat and I found this one - Lone Ranger.
A few minutes later I heard the loudest chewing noise and met these two - mum and baby maybe??
Rain is forecast here overnight so I won't be watering the plants for a couple of days.
I have FINALLY cleared all of the gravel from the middle bit of my garden .....all ready for the bricks which arrive at some point this week. I also used some of the earth taken from YBE at the bottom of my garden to raise the level of the ground following the gravel removal and it looks so much nicer. My next door neighbour has also had a couple of the bags of soil so she's very grateful.
Have an ace day everyone

It was the only photo I took by the river, because the shade along most of the bank made it look black. Most bankside plants were also past their best. OTOH, a geranium nearby was just right for a few of its many seeds to attach themselves to my clothing.

Fabulous photo Dusty! I spent hours trying to photograph a lot of them in flight. So proud of my photo but no one really notices or understands the effort to get it.I'm so sad. Last night I got the last of the Jersey potatoes out of the fridge for dinner and one had sprouted. I cooked it!
Could have tried to produce some.
BTW - Tescos stocks Cornish New Potatoes in bags. They have a bit, only a bit, of flavour.A village shop is stocking Devon New Potatoes. They look like real new pots but honestly - wrong time of year isn't it?WM, great photos. I forsee another for the MSE blogBit of wet here, nothing much then sunshine, hot, and I'm exhausted by the humidity.Do I want to paint the outdoor lights - or go up on the moors to see deer and heather?I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Working Mum, I know it's possible to go from glass to plastic on a conventional greenhouse, using the normal clips. Whether a plastic to glass conversion is feasible will depend on whether the frame is specifically for plastic only and the retention method.Don't forget to take along a good indelible pen or a pencil to mark the joints with your own system before dismantling.I use something like R1N, meaning '1st Roof bar north side,' but whatever works for you. If it's already dismantled, find someone who does a lot of jigsaws! We should be photographing the hedgehogs here instead of the local cats! I'll post it another day. If your camera has a 'sport' setting, that might be best. I forgot.

Back to see some lovely photos, wish I had hedgehogs instead of poorly ratsWM, greenhouse, obvious once it's too late, take plenty of photos while it is still in one pieceHow exciting. My one is perspex and found it ideal, but it's next to a pathway where children “could” walk along, so plastic was not only cheaper but much safer.Plastic was ideal once neighbour's boy reached teenage air rifle years, little s)d
. I grassed him up to his dad
He, son, actually turned out OK, became a teacher, left & now has own builder type business and a young family. He was always the boy who tinkered with cars, bikes etc. Which was handy once I lost my bendiness.twopenny said:I'm so sad. It has a new strong shoot coming up which will need training in once a bit longer.
