Missed payments 6years+

I thought that missed payments (and everything else) were removed from your credit history after 6 years - but I have some from further back from that still showing on my history. When I question this with the CRA they simply say the lender has confirmed the details are correct. I know they're correct, I didn't claim they weren't. Is there a way I can get them removed now? Does it even matter?

On a different note, Clearscore gives me a 95% probability of being approved for a loan from a variety of lenders underwritten by Bank of Ireland, but when I enquire about a quote on the lenders website they say 0/10 probability. Is every number a CRA generates just a load of b*****ks?

They will report the last 6 years of payments, the account will not be removed after 6 years unless you close it or it defaults.

If the account in question is still active - the missed payments won't disappear. They disappear 6 years from account closure/default. So if the payments were 7 years ago - but you only settled/closed the account 3 years ago  - they'll be there in the history for another 3 years.
