Haven church farm/cleanliness issues

Hello Martin, I am writing to you in regards to our recent holiday experience. Our holiday break at Church Farm Holiday Village, Church Lane, Pagham, Bognor Regis, PO21 4NR. Week commencing Monday 28th September- Friday 2nd October 2020. This short break was booked for my granddaughters 16th birthday. We arrived around 5:30pm on the Monday, when entering the caravan everything looked satisfactory. That was until I noticed the bottom of my grandsons feet were black with dirt from walking around on the caravan floor. I was in shock by the colour of his feet, especially with covid around at this point in time, when these caravans are meant to be very well cleaned with high standards after every guest leaves. We then proceeded to look for a mop and bucket but this was unavailable, the only thing available was a broom and dust pan. Luckily, we had anti-back wipes with us so WE cleaned the floor. The reason why we didn’t complain on site is because it would take the time out of our holiday and considering we had already unpacked it would of taken more of our time away to pack, move caravans, and unpack once again. We ended up cutting our holiday short and coming home by one day. When I got home I decided to email a complaint to Haven. I have copies of the email correspondence and pictures of my grandsons feet if this is something you require. I am so disappointed with their response to my email. I hope you could help with this matter as they have been very unhelpful and brushed away the situation. Please let me know if you require any further information. Kind regards, Christine Parsons.

Why would you have to move caravans?
They could just have brought a mop and a bucket and cleaned the floor

What has been Haven's response to your email? and what do want Haven to do? are you looking for compensation / an apology / or what?

I agree, you wouldn't have had to move vans if the floor was cleaned.. I dont understand people who go away, dont complain there and give the person opportunity to sort it but then moan once home..
Plus i believe they have a satisfaction guarantee, where if not happy you get your money back.

Haven give you the numbers of housekeeping & maintenance when you get there.

If you had text or called them when you noticed they would have called round quickly and resolved your issue

I'm inclined to agree.

If you didn't show them the problem and found it not enough of a problem to call them but continued your stay.

Wwhy should they believe you had a problem?

They supplied what you paid for and you used all the facilities.
