Cancelling AA breakdown membership, have to call?

So, I got my AA renewal quote through.
I was so much more than last time. Yo cancel I have to call, at which point they'll bring to price down. But it's so over priced at the moment I have already got Green Flag lined up for next month.
It looks like the only way to cancel my membership with AA is to call them, and wait, then do the whole story again.
Can I email/write and cancel my DD? Do I have the right to do that?
Thanks

Sorry to hear about your woes.
I recall reading a similar thread here.
As other other member here stated, read the T&C's.
With this Covid thing, sadly, too many co's are using this as an excuse to take longer to
answer your phone.
Let us know how you get on as this will help poeple in the future as well

Our children work for some internatinal firms and working from home since before lockdown and provide a full service.
What I fail to grasp is that staff are working even harder from home yet these co's cut the open hours.
I hope it all works out for you without too much stress and wasted time
Take care

Cancelling the DD doesn't necessarily cancel the auto-renew of the policy. It merely means you aren't paying for it automatically.
Yes, you could write or email, but unless they reply in time saying "Thanks, sorry to see you go. Bye.", you won't know that the auto-renew has been cancelled.0 -
