How can I know what other people are offering on Purplebricks?

I want to make an offer on a house that’s listed on purple bricks but I’m unsure as to what to start with as an opening offer ? If I make an offer and the seller declines and asks for a specific price because someone’s offered that, how can I know they’re being truthful and not just trying to make me overpay ? I know that I can just go to my Max offer and then just leave it at that but it would be so much easier if I knew whats already been offered. (I know they have already had offers just not how much for)

Same as any other agency, you cannot find out.
Look up sold house prices for similar local properties and decide what you think this is worth to you.0 -
Ignore the reasons they give - you made an offer, they said no. Would you like to increase?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

The vendor told me on the second viewing - we had no reason to doubt them. It doesn't really matter what anybody else has offered; offer what the house is worth to you.0

They want more, or there's no sale. End of.0 -

If an EA 'lies' about another offer, they'd be breaking the law.
Arguably, if the seller 'lies' about another offer - it might be 'fraud by misrepresentation' - but I doubt that you could persuade the police to get involved.
So it's really just a case of using your judgement.0
