Weird mortgage letter
Comments
-
@lulu4866 - it was fine in the end. I can't exactly remember exactly what it referred to but there were no issues at all with the mortgage being approved. Have you logged into your Track It portal - that should give you an idea of what's happening. You might see a note showing the approval or the case moving?lulu4866 said:@SJW1510 Hi may I ask where did you mum’s case end? I’ve just received the same letter from Barclays this morning which stressed me out a lot. I called them and also my broker obviously they didn’t know what’s going on and need to raise it with the support team. It’s so annoying
We had an utter utter nightmare with Barclays but that wasn't until June when it turned out that they needed another survey just as we were about to exchange. Their service was so poor we ended up pulling out of the mortgage - it's a very long story but they were so bad I'm glad Mum never got a mortgage with them in the end. The problems with the broker not being informed, their service team giving us a different answer each time we called - it's impossible to get a straight answer out of them.
But at the point that letter was received, all was going through smoothly and I think it was just part of their process - it was all approved. I would be pretty confident that all is fine for you as that letter didn't actually mean anything, ridiculous really. Fingers crossed that all is OK.0
