Once, many years ago when I worked in an office, I had to buy a secret santa gift for a rather quiet girl who was the big boss's PA. I got her something small & nice (can't even remember what it was) that only cost about £3 of the £5 spend. It was definitely very very boring so I wrapped it in a large box alongside a very large cabbage. It went down a storm with everyone, (except unfortunately the girl who I bought for who didn't know whether it was a joke or serious) and I have to say it was talked about for months after. Unfortunately I don't know if the idea took off the next Christmas as I left for a job nearer home.

PS-The idea for the veg came from a friend who wrapped his girlfriends engagement ring in a cauliflower.
