Joint account removal

Hi,
I had a joint account with my ex wife. The overdraft in the account was in default. After we split all the debts she agreed to take this one on. We went through NatWest and got me removed from the account. However it is still on my Equifax report not only as defaulted with no date on there but also saying u still owe the money. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you were on the account when it defaulted, it's correct that it's still on there.0

You are both equally liable for the debt in the eyes of the creditor, regardless of the individual arrangement you made privately, and your credit file will reflect that, you cannot just choose to have your liability removed.
