Conservatory Leaking...Who is responsible ??

Hi
We have just had a conservatory fitted but the end that attaches to our bungalow has begun to leak. The leak is coming in through the vent between the conservatory and our bungalow. We have contacted the person who installed the Conservatory who has said that we need to lift the last row of roof tiles up and put new felt down which extends further out. He said he thinks the issue was there before but as the leak was on the outside of the property where the vent is that we would not have noticed it.
There wasn’t and isn’t any leaks on the inside of our bungalow just water coming in through where the conservatory joins on to the house.
Is this a problem I’m responsible for or is this something which he should be dealing with as surely, he is contracted to provide a waterproof conservatory?
Any help or advice very gratefully received.

Without someone coming to actually inspect the problem and ascertaining the root cause, I would say responsibility is up in the air at the moment.0 -
Thank you very much.
Its further complicated that we bought the Conservatory from a national company who actually got hold of someone to fit the conservatory for us. I have checked their terms and condition and although they recommend the suppliers the contact for installation is actually between us and the supplier.
The supplier is also helpfully based 200 miles away. Learning curve for sure.
I think we will contacting a local builder to fix it for us as that seems to only way to go.

And yes, always always use a local recommended firm for glazing, conservatories, etc. The national chains are typically more expensive and don't have the same investment in maintaining a reputation for service. They can spend millions on marketing instead, which is why they're often more expensive, of course.0
