Company avoiding issuing refund

Hi all - I paid for a pair of bifold doors approx 10 days ago. I needed them for a certain date which they guaranteed but as soon as I paid I had an email to say it would be a much later date, so I called back to cancel it. The long and short of it is they seem to be a bit dodgy, only emailing me once i chase by phone, which seems to be one of these virtual office setups. I'm assuming their game plan is to delay things outside the 14 days. I did manage to get a reply from them via email which simply stated they would 'apply for a refund and let me know'. I wrote back asking for their confirmation the order had been cancelled and refund had been issued but have had nothing. Is there an email template on here that ive missed or some concrete form of action as I just want to get my wording correct and the next steps. Many thanks!

How did you pay? Do you have proof the order was dependant on delivery by a certain date?0

I paid with credit card and no I don't. Aren't I able to change my mind anyway?0

Depends. If you ordered online (without a visit to a showroom or a visit from a rep) then yes, you can change your mind. If you didn't, any change of mind rights will be outlined in your paperwork.dilby said:I paid with credit card and no I don't. Aren't I able to change my mind anyway?0 -
Okay - update: they have taken their website offline, and are not answering emails. If I call I just get a virtual office receptionist saying they're busy. 😔0
