'Permanence' in this context relates to the method of construction, not for how many hours or days it is used. The building is presumably wood-framed and freestanding on a concrete base, so it's not permanent. Adding extra heating does not make it so.brewerdave said:
Only thinking that you do need building regs. for a conservatory if you extend central heating out from the house and as for Planning ,at what point does the garden office become a "permanent" structure? Something like this air source heat pump may be suitable. Also, as other have said, improve the insulation. Celotex (or similar) fitted to the inside of the roof & walls could be quite effective, without taking up too much space.matelodave said:I would have thought that something like an air-air heatpump might be a better solution as you've got the option of cooling in the summer and heating in the winter with a cop of around 4
