Can some one tell me if they have received an email to verify their AOL email account in the next 24hrs. It seems to be from an Centurylink.net. It did come up in my spam mail. Says it comes from AOL customer service, but the email address comes up as dannty66@centurylink.net Is this spam as a don't want to lose all my emails. Thanks if some one can shed some light on this.

Yes, I would block the sender and delete it.1

It's spam. Ignore and delete. If you don't click on anything in the email it can't do anything to you.0

Probably due to the changes they are making to those that do not use the AOL or Yahoo directly
to access their emails. Had lots of genuine emails saying I need to choose which option because
my login is insecure and they want to make it better. More likely they are unhappy at not being
able to gather user statistics and push adverts. Fair enough its a free service.
Scammers are probably hoping to catch a few out during the change. Not helped by yahoo
removing some of the spam blocking controls.
