Teletext holidays

is anyone having issues with teletext holidays? I used them two days ago to book a holiday in November and agreed a price on the phone which was lower due to covid yet still more than jet2. However the man was so nice I decided to book with them. They took my money and told me I had paid in full. Then a few hours later I recieved a email demanding more money! Contacted them and was told my holiday was now more expensive and I requested they listen to the call because as far as I was concerned I had agreed a price and paid it. They told me they would call me back and didn’t. Later that day I ring again to be told it was their mistake and to ignore said email and my booking confirmations would be sent within 24 hours. 48 hours later I’m still waiting and currently on hold AGAIN to find out what the heck’s going on! Does anyone know what I can do to get my money back because they have literally stolen my money basically, are refusing to send my documents and holiday details and I’ve spent 4 hours of my life on the phone to them over the last three days! Not to mention the 6 emails they are ignoring! Please help! Il never use them again that’s for sure

Not condoning failure to return calls when promised, or unexpected debate about pricing, but it seems to me that this is something of an overreaction to not yet having received confirmation of a holiday booked two days ago....welcome40 said:Does anyone know what I can do to get my money back because they have literally stolen my money basically, are refusing to send my documents and holiday details and I’ve spent 4 hours of my life on the phone to them over the last three days! You made a booking REQUEST.
I expect the ‘stolen money’ is in fact a hold on the funds from your credit or debit card.0 -
Actually the money has left my account Thankyou! And far from being a over reaction a week later I still have nothing, I’ve spent 4 hours and 20 minutes on the phone to them and got no where, had someone message me from teletext based on this asking me to email them and when I did it says email unknown! May I suggest if you don’t have anything BF helpful to say you pipe down and go and find something productive to do. This was a request for advice not a forum for online “bullies” with no life to jump on board! Unless you’ve booked with teletext and have advice keep your rude answers to yourself please because I’m not interested! Any productive answers are more than welcome! Many thanks

Please see my above Comment and given the amount you post I’m guessing your generally in here passing on unsolicited advise on things you have absolutely no idea about. Once again I suggest you get a life. No one can possibly spend so much time posting “responses” and have something constructive to say! People like you are a nuisance so unless you have anything to say in order to HELP may I suggest you say nothing at all!

What are the t’s and c’s when you booked regarding cancellation? Seems to be your only option at moment. (And before you ask, no I don’t have much of a life at moment! Not sure why 🤔. Something about some virus or other 😂).0

I'm sure you now realise that dealing with Teletext Holidays is a massive mistake. Unfortunately even more so given you had the option to use Jet2Holidays who have a very good reputation, and have acted well throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
Not sure I have much too add other than trying to keep on at them to get things resolved. I think Westin has the key - agents like Teletext often don't have live pricing. They aren't a holiday company, just an agent who match flights and accommodation bookings to create a holiday. The prices may have changed from when the lovely guy quoted you and when they went to actually make your bookings. They have a history of behaving in this manner.
Only thing I can think is to keep trying to get hold of them and insist on a refund. This could be difficult if any of the elements of the holiday have actually been booked. Have they said what elements have increased in price? Have a look through their T&C's and see what they say about price changes.0
