I just got a new iphone 11 with O2, it is on a 24 month contract and so if I get insurance with insurance2go is the phone covered as I don't technically own it yet? I just wonder, when they ask when did I buy the phone that I actually haven't yet.

You have the phone now < the network is 24 months .But why insure and at what cost ??0

No the phone is on contract as is the airtime plan. I did not buy the phone outright.
The insurance covers loss, theft, damage etc. It is ~ £100 for the year0 -
You are buying the phone now, just paying it over 24 months.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

Never thought about it, but my stepdaughters had contract phones *(paid by me!), and there was never an issue claiming on the insurance ( a few times too
) All I needed was the IMEI and the delivery/dispatch note from when I got it. So many phones are on a contract, but I'd be surprised if this was a reason to exclude from insurance
