in Credit cards
I have/had very poor credit history and have never had a high street credit card offered/accepted. I have had Vanquis/Capital One over the years but only with very small credit limits. I now have a fluid card which I spend £100-£200 a month on and pay off in full (learnt my lesson).
I received a mail shot today from my bank advertising a card, they have an eligibility checker so thought what the hell. They said I was a 10/10 chance of being approved so went for it. Well, I can't believe it... I got accepted! 3 months 0% purchase, 18 months balance transfer and the lowest APR they offer with a 5k limit!
My question is for credit file purposes should I close the Fluid one down now? I am never going to spend on it again, and I like the idea of just having everything with my bank.
Thoughts?

You should keep the fluid card and your new card, put your monthly budgeted spend on both and pay off IN Full .
Plus if you have everything with one bank and your accounts get frozen. How will you access your money / credit?1 -
Thanks very much for that. Will keep open 😊0

Definitely keep it open - and still put a couple of transactions through on it every month - paying in full by direct debit. Build your credit file with positive history.0
