BA Flight Cancellation Refund

I am still waiting for a refund on a flight I should have had with BA in June. I’ve chased it and they’ve told me it’s being dealt with but said I won’t get all my money back. They won’t be refunding the money for the booked seats or airport tax. Surely this isn’t correct.

BA cancelled the flight a few days before I was due to go away

It was a direct booking through BA, and they cancelled the flight a few days before I was due to travel.

So you should get everything back.

If British Airways cancelled the flight then you are entitled to everything back.  If they fail to do this open a dispute with your card provider.

No, that does not sound correct given the other information provided.

This isn’t an Avios booking by chance?

they state quite clearly that seat reservation fees are refunded if flight cancelled https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/seating/seating-changes-and-refunds
It will often be dealt with separately from the flight refund.
