We booked. A holiday to Mexico in January pre COVID and now my husband has been advised not to travel but BA are saying they aren’t willing to transfer our dates or offer a voucher even though the hotel are willing to, do we have any rights?

Is the reason your husband has been advised not to travel covered by your travel insurance?2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

When are you due to travel? If flights are non refundable and going ahead then you will have to hope your insurance covers you.1

Does this mean you did not have travel insurance to cover your intended travel/holiday dates?
BA Holidays do not have to amend your holiday even if the hotel says they will be flexible. When exactly are you due to travel?0 -
is there no option to pay to change dates? what did the original terms and condition state for cancelling or changing?0

We would have renewed our travel insurance but have to get medical cover. We are due to fly 7th November0

Has your husband been advised not to travel or has your travel insurance refused to offer cover. If the latter then you could look for insurance elsewhere, some companies specialise in offering cover to those with conditions.
If insurance isn't an option it is worth waiting, if BA cancels the flights they will have to refund. Also, BA seem to be extending their future travel voucher month by month, only today they announced it would cover flights for October, so it would be worth waiting.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. For a 7th November departure to Mexico I suspect BAH will shortly issue policy for allowing passengers to amend or cancel. I would hold fire for a short while more.0
