Well, I've submitted my application. We'll see what happens.

I am trying to get quotes for solid wall insulation under the scheme. I went onto the website for list of suppliers for this service. We have contacted everyone not the list to our postcode and have recordings of the calls. Most do not offer this insulation so why do they list. This needs sorting. The nearest supplier to us in west yorkshire who were just 9.7 miles away told us on recoding that they could only quote locally and we were too far away even though they website shows they cover country wide. After contacting everyone on the list we have one supplier who we are waiting for contact from to arrange a quote if they contact at all reading these bloggs. We have quotes from local firms but because they do not have expensive certification numbers we cannot use these to apply and there don’t seem to be enough certified companies to cope. Surely it would be better if this scheme helped all small and large companies effected by the COVID 19 pandemic. They employ people too and I am sure would create jobs if they had more work.

It sounds like it's developing into another complete fiasco like the last scheme. I'd like MHRV for my bathroom as a little improvement as I've a pretty snug house, import very little gas and electric and mainly heat by wood, and water by surplus PV, but I'm sure the scheme won't help and I'm not minded to spend too much time checking.
