Morning all
Sunny here for the moment but rain due after lunch so will get the dogs out earlier today, I need to put the cups in the dw and get that going and give the kitchen a good going over, dd has gone to another meeting and wont be back till after lunch.
I have Morrisons delivering tonight and managed to get a birthday present of a bottle of whisky reduced from £33 to £20 so thats another one off the list.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol, I was going to do a lasagne but we have very little milk till the shopping comes and its not coming till early evening so a spag bol instead.
I have the hospital next week and I am almost certain that they will want me to go in for a mastectomy soonish and then have the reconstruction at some point in the future, I did not want this option but if they think its best I will go with it, there is not much else I can do.
I finished the series 'Away' last night anyone with Netflix should watch it, it was absolutly brilliant and I am hoping for a second series.
TA Happy Annivrsary to you and Dear Bob I hope you have a lovely day full of happy memories xxx

Morning all.
I can't seem to get myself into gear today. It's much more fun poking about on mse.
TA, anniversaries can be very sad, but you must have had 48+ years of happy memories. Not everyone has that. Have a lovely lunch with your DD and enjoy the bitter-sweet re-living of past times.
Bella, I was tempted to ignore the letter demanding that I should buy a TV licence again. I also thought that a few weeks enjoying free food, heating etc at Her Majesty's expense wouldn't be that bad a deal. I also tried to do it on line but gave up. Eventually I rang the number we were given and after the usual kerfuffle of being passed around from pillar to post, I got to talk to a delightful girl. She was obviously quite used to dealing with the aged and incompetent and we got on like a house on fire. She was extremely kind and patient with me and I was extremely kind and grateful back. Business was concluded with mutual expressions of respect. I now possess a valid TV licence again.
AOD, like you I don't often go anywhere so track and trace would be wasted on me, even if I had the sort of phone that could do it. Which I don't.
Housework time again. I must get up and walk round the bungalow wringing my hands. It sort of works.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The 5 stages of a woman's life.
To grow up.
To fill out.
To slim down.
To hold it in.
To hell with it.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.14 -
Just after I clicked on post comment, the rain started and it hasn't stopped to breathe yet. I filled the DW and I paid the TV licence online first, but Dad gave me the wrong card number at the first attempt so I had to ring him again to double, double check it ( he'd got one digit wrong ). I've paid all Dad's bills now so he's legal againNelski yes he had a letter about 3 weeks ago but wanted to hold off payment in case Boris sorted something out before he had to pay. I said I think he has more important things to worry about at present. Re the cushion, you forgot to tell me your preference of colour !Bella that's a very naughty thought about doing time in prison......... wish I'd thought of thatTA happy anniversary. Enjoy your meal and I hope it's brimmed with beautiful memories of your lovely BobAOD we have the same thoughts about the app, we don't go out, only to the surgery occasionally, so we don't see anyone either.Gers hope the antibiotics have done the trick and you can get yourself back up and running like the wind !RedRuby hope your appointment goes well next week.dp1 parents eh ! They'll say anything to get out of paying...... or at least mine will till the last minute.Monna only a few weeks in HMP ? That's not worth the bother, now 6mths or more and you're talkingnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14

I was raring to go when I woke up. That soon went as I tucked into my porridge and then the on-line paper. Then the rain. So now I am in the virtual arbour Chez Nous with virtual friends and virtual cake. Real cup of tea in real life, indoors. I am trying my hand at acorn flour. The four youngish oaks have produced a lot of acorns so I am being very MSE in putting them to culinary use. I think an apple crumble (scrumped apples of course) with acorn augmented topping will be cooked tomorrow. Marks out of ten on Friday. Watch this space.
