Does anyone know the best way of paying off a HP agreement with a credit card please?

Get a money transfer card - you will pay a transfer fee of 3 or 4% but once the money is in your current account then you can pay off the HP. Be aware that most 0% money transfer deals are shorter than the 0% on purchases deals you see.
