Bi-fold doors quote

I have been quoted around 5k for 3meter bifold doors, they are Smarts Visofold 1000 Aluminium. The price includes fitting.
I have seen some posts on here regarding prices but they are from a few years back. This feels rather expensive to me.
I'm still toying with bifolds vs slimline sliding doors.

Way over the top, should be nearer £3.5k, Smarts is the cheapest brand in market too.0

depending what you are wanting and what is there now . for a standard colour (white / anthracite /black) . Taking out a slider or French door so the hole has been made I charge around 2.5.to 2,7 k about 800/900 per leaf. If you need walls knocking down , steels putting in and making good then we charge the extra . Smarts are a good bi fold because theyre reliable but nothing special . I am based in North West and prices change a lot I have found towards London

I have on order the same doors 3.6m x 2.1m, 4 panels, supply and fit in anthracite at £41000

We had the same bifold supplied 3 years ago but at 2.4m wide, 2 pane, fitted only for about £1,650 I think (I’m based in Essex)
and a local builder charged £500 to open up the existing 1.2m wide French door, remove and fit a catnik support the day before the bifolds were fitted
