Very confused on final payment

Options
So I should of received my VR payment into my account today. Nothing.

last week I received an email stating:

“I can confirm that your final total redundancy payment is made up as follows:

Redundancy pay of £5,380.94

Notice pay of £3,244.92 (PILON amount)”

I got paid 1270. No other ex colleague had an issue with payment (we have a what’s app group)

I’m just very confused and I don’t know where to turn to. I can’t contact the company as our emails have be shut down and no one is picking up my calls.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you

When I was last made redundant and from memory I got 2 separate payslips, 1 x normal pay, 1 x pilon and a cheque with the redundancy. So to get more than 1 payment on termination isn't that odd. Before you panic check your acount this evening & tomorrow morning, sometimes BACS can have hiccups. If still nothing then make every effort to contact your former employer, somebody must be picking up phones and answering emails. If necessary write & post.

That does look odd - as though they deducted PILON from the total and then deducted tax at 40% and NI.  (My rough calculation.)

PILON is subject to deduction and they may want to pay it separately but it does not explain their calculation.

Does the redundancy pay and PILON  amounts quoted look right to you?

Send them an email from your non work email.
  • I have a feeling I have a similar issue.  Can anyone tell me who to turn to now? The company  not answering my requests for confirmation of where I have agreed to, in effect loose any unused leave.
I had 22 days leave not used or given to me and looking at this websites along with advice from ACAS I should be entitled to be paid for it but the company has said they can give it to me once I have left the company?? There is nothing in the VR agreement that I or the employment solicitors could find that confirms this, yet I have hit a wall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
