Shared Ownership - taking in lodger immediately?

Hi there,
I've been searching through the forum in regards to shared ownership for a while now and found some useful posts/threads about this. One thing I can't really find is taking in a lodger immediately after buying a SO property.
Basically, I've put down a reservation fee and passed financial assessment for a SO property in London. It's a 2 bed apartment, really nice and happy with this. But the only way I can really continue to have a suitable lifestyle within London is to bring a lodger into the other room. This is fine, but reading on the HA site, it states I won't be able to do so during the probation period which has got my worried. I can still request, but what are the chances of having this approved immediately?
Has anyone had experience with this? Do I need to be concerned with this? Would they approve this during the probation period - I mean what difference does it make? they'll still be getting the money at the end of the day and would make it easier for everyone.
Many thanks for help with this

If having a lodger immediately was so essential to your budget, then why didn't you check this out and query with your HA before putting down a reservation fee?
How long is the probationary period? No free lunch, and no free laptop1 -
Why not have a "guest" during probation?I am not a cat (But my friend is)0
