cheaper email address

In May 2006 I signed up to broadband for the first time with Namesco, I was led to believe that we would have a free email address which we used for my wifes business, In May 2007 we got a renewal bill for the email address it was quite a lot of money:eek: , argued and got it down to £15.
My question is when it comes round for renewal next year is there anywhere we can get our unique email address elsewhere cheaper or free, or will it not be possible now.

  • Im not sure what you mean by "unique email address" but i would always recommend using gmail.com for email provider.

Its free, Its got a VERY good spam filter..

Also if you buy your own domain like https://www.myname.com you can forward josh@myname.com to your gmail account for example :)

Either way, you shouldnt have to pay for email these days.

  • Does this email addy go with a domain name and does that domain name run out soon?

not sure what you mean, but the email address is similar to abc@smith.co.uk
using our own name, which we have used on various business stationary etc, we would like to keep the address but begrudge paying for it when we thought it was a free service originally.
it is due to be renewed next May
