Patio

Hi guys, not sure of this is the right place to post. We've recently had a builders in to do a patio and they said they would have to raise up a drain we had in the old patio. They say that they've had it up to check and it's redundant with no sign of use do have covered it over. Is this right? Not sure if they can do this? They didn't check with me, just done it.

Do you mean a manhole cover over an inspection chamber ?
It might be that the chamber is no longer needed if drains had been rerouted in the past and/or you have a redundant septic tank in the garden - It certainly should not have been covered over without doing a proper investigation and consulting with yourself,
