A Defence is written in the third person. So you need to change every 'I' in your para 3 to 'the Defendant'.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Defences (as you will have seen from reading the defence template and other threads) are written in the third person, therefore no "I", "me" or "my" but "the defendant".  If you are defending as driver, your point #1 should state: -
    2. It is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper and driver of the vehicle in question but liability is denied.
Not sure that admitting to being unpaid "for a short period" is a good idea!

I had a similar thought. Perhaps something like : - The defendant returned  and paid for  more parking time. The total time paid for was more than the time actually parked"

You have't got a claim yet.  You are meant to be sending Gs a robust response like on all the other Gladstones LBC threads, not a defence.

  • I’ve been checking through my SAR again, and noticed this tucked away on the last document, near the bottom:

Therefore, we need you to confirm your identity by way of documentation. We do not require the original document (a clear photocopy or photograph of the document will suffice) and we advise that you redact any financial or sensitive information that may be contained in the document, such as account numbers and/or your date of birth. We also do not need to see a photograph of you, so you may redact this if you wish, where applicable.

Documents we will accept to verify your identity are:
    - Driving Licence
    - V5C document
    - Passport
    - Utility Bill
    - Council Tax Bill
    - Mortgage or Rent Document
    - Bank Statement (or other financial statement) HMRC Document

Please ensure that any document you send us shows your full, legal name so that we can be sure we are corresponding with the correct person.

Once we have received your identity document, it will either be deleted, securely destroyed or redacted (if we cannot separate it from your correspondence). We will then gather any personal data we hold about you and endeavour to provide it to you within one calendar month.

We will not take any further action with your request until the above has been satisfied.

Would anyone actually recommend sending photo ID?!

    No, definitely not.
