    Thanks. That was badly worded on my part, so i've edited my comment.
    It wasn’t the disability bit I intended to draw attention to, rather that it is an earnings limit rather than a working hours limit. Someone in well paid work could breach the earnings threshold with only a few hours of work.
    Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

    You might want to look at the grounds for being placed in the LCWRA group.
    It applies to claimants who have been assessed as not fit for work and whose health conditions mean that they are not expected to attend work-related activities at the job centre.

    If your concern is (partly) to increase income, then it might be more reasonable to concentrate on PIP.  It is sensible to see if you can help with the form:
