My car insurance has been with Aviva for several years now. Every year, they write to me to advise the renewal amount. If I don’t actively renew it by making another payment, my insurance cover ends. I have been paying by credit card, though, not debit card (no surcharge). Not sure why that would make a difference.

We are contacting you because when you purchased your policy, we should have told you that it is set-up to renew automatically. This means it will continue at renewal, unless you tell us otherwise.<<
But all their other policies are not on CPA'S
What type of card you use should make no difference as they are all governed by the same regulations.Life in the slow lane0
