Using out of date flour

Looks like minute flecks in the flour. Think pin point. As Farway says you will see the flour move - open it and let it naturally settle before you start scrutinising .1

I opened both bags and both have gone in the bin. My good intentions of baking must have gone way over the top. I found another bag with an expiry date of November 2019. I couldn't see anything in it and tried a microwave pudding yesterday. I think I cooked it too long as whilst it was ok whilst still warm, once cold it did seem rather dry and hard.
How many days does the flour need to be frozen to ensure everything is killed off. I can put a bag in a box in the freezer but when I take it out do I just remove the bag of flour and leave it somewhere to defrost before putting in the cupboard.
