We are currently pursuing a miss-sold mortgage claim and have a firm dealing with this. The solicitors have sent us a form to complete and have included an After the Event insurance policy funding options. They are recommending us to put this in place for protection. We have never heard of this before so would welcome some advice please.

Hopefully, you haven't got too far in to commit yourself to an expensive mistake.

The really bad ones make you sign a credit agreement as well to pay for the insurance.
If you can get out now without cost then do so.
